For the first time in its 38-year history, the International Cement Seminar and Exhibition will feature Vortex Solids and Bulk Handling Components.
Hosted by SEMCO Publishing, the 38th edition of the seminar will take place November 19-21, 2019 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. This international event brings professionals in the cement industry together to strategically plan for the future.
Vortex’s knowledge and expertise with handling fine, abrasive materials like cement came from an extended and close working relationship with the minerals industry. Vortex designs slide gates and diverter valves that are serviceable in-line. Featuring liners made of hard metals or metal alloys in key areas to extend the valve’s service life, Vortex makes it possible to replace liners rather than entire valves.
Representing Vortex at booth 205, Business Development Director Kevin Peterson and Territory Sales Representative Cody Buckner will be available to discuss products from Vortex’s Titan Line and Loading Solutions Line that are commonly used to handle cement.
The Vortex Titan Series features slide gates and diverters engineered for heavy duty material handling applications that pose additional abrasion or wear issues to the valve. Some of the materials handled with Vortex Titan valves include alumina, bauxite, cement, clinker, coal, fly ash, frac sand, gravel, glass cullet, lime, limestone, metal powders, potash and sand.
Vortex Loading Solutions provide fast and steady material flow during the loading of dry/bulk solid materials in open and/or enclosed vessels. Vortex Loading Solutions offer a complete line of telescoping loading spouts, filters, positioners and airslides for loading processes.
For more than 40 years, Vortex has provided quality slide gates, diverters, iris valves and loading spouts designed specifically for handling dry bulk solids in gravity, vacuum, dilute, or dense phase applications. Vortex valves and spouts are engineered for dependability, durability, easy maintenance, and offer proven solutions to material handling and process efficiency problems. With an in-house team of engineers, Vortex products can be completely customised for individual applications or special installations.
