Application:
Multiple gates were ordered and are being used to meter different colors of sand onto a conveyor belt before they are transported to a blending process.
Features:
- Square-to-square inlet transition with a tapering, diamond-shaped interior. Transition is constructed from 400 Brinell Hardness Number (BHN) abrasion-resistant steel.
- V-notched blade constructed from 400 BHN abrasion-resistant steel.
Results:
The abrasion-resistant steel addresses the abrasive properties of sand. The diamond-shaped inlet transition and the V-notched blade work in tandem to provide precise metering of each sand color, so that subsequent production runs will create matching shingles of the same color.
