24 gates were ordered to be installed on the discharges of 24 new silos.
Features:
The Vortex Titan Slide Gate is designed to handle abrasive materials in gravity-fed applications.
Because of the smaller particle size present in this application, the abrasive resistant blades were surface ground to a 30 Ra finish and the gates were equipped with an additional fine material bonnet seal.
Gates were manufactured with a custom bolt-hole pattern to match silo outlets.
The Vortex-manufactured aluminum, pneumatic cylinders were epoxy coated to combat the local, salt-air environment.
