For 40 years, Vortex has designed components capable of handling dry bulk solids of varying characteristics. Whether it’s corrosive or of the finest granular grade, Vortex slide gates, diverters, and loading solutions will improve process efficiency, establish long-term reliability, and ensure dust-free environments – regardless of chemical properties.
Our knowledge and experience with handling chemicals came from a long history and close working relationship with the industry. We’ve identified slide gates and diverter valves’ key leaking points, developed proprietary sealing technologies and added features to reduce the time it takes to perform maintenance on our components. These improvements extend the valve’s service life, while reducing life-cycle and housekeeping costs.
Below is a sample of the many chemicals and petrochemicals handled by Vortex components each day. As you can see, from the water we drink to the clothing on our backs, Vortex is assisting companies worldwide to handle vital chemicals that enrich our quality of life.
Construction Options:
304 & 316L stainless steel options are available for construction of the valve body and material contact areas. These alloys are more reliable for their resistance to corrosion and oxidation from chemical reactions. Air cylinders may also be epoxy-coated for added protection in corrosive environments.
